My great grandfather is Segundo Diez. I was born across the road where the sign exist today. I was born after the world war and moved to Davao when I was 4 years old. I visited the balay nga pula for the first time last year. 5 of the Diez siblings moved to Davao during those time and the rest were residing in Negros.

As long as the Bottom ash and Fly ash collection system is working properly, no waste will be going to the sea as we commonly misunderstood. These ashes maybe recycled into another useful products depending on how will the management decides. This is just my simple understanding after working in a Coal Fired Power Plant in Madagascar and Guatemala. The government should help educate people on how the system work and how safety is taken care of for the benefit of the poor power consumer. Look what happened to the proposed coal fired power plant in Pulupandan, which was strongly opposed and in turn forwarded to Cebu. Power benefit and employment were wasted. That's the real WASTES.

This is not good at all. Wastes coming from the powerplant will be dispose nowhere but the sea. It will destroy the sea life specially killing many kinds of fish where most of the local depends on. NO TO COAL-FIRED PLANT in CADIZ!!!
